Helping People Become Fully Devoted Followers of Jesus Christ Together
Make a friend—learn more about God and about yourself—break out with a Small Group. On the journey toward knowing and experiencing God, it's good to have companions. Small Groups are gatherings of 8-16 people with similar interests or needs or similarities. God's Word is studied and applied to daily experiences, burdens are shared, victories are celebrated and lives are changed!
There are different types of Small Groups at World Outreach Church, but they share the same components: mutual care, growth, encouragement and fellowship.
Just come to WOC on a Wednesday or Thursday night at 6:45 and we will meet
you in the Lobby of the Worship Center, where you can be introduced to our
groups. You may also check the Activities and Events center in the Atrium for
more information, call the Church office at 896-4515 or contact the Small Groups department.

"Our small group is a refuge in the midst of the week. I know that when
I come on Wednesday night, there will be people who are truly concerned about
my spiritual, physical, and financial needs and will lift me up in prayer and
help out in any way possible. We are looking and searching for people who will
welcome us in and make us a part of the group. Being accountable to one another
is so important in today's society. We all want to live Godly lives, and sharing
what is happening with each other makes you feel that others are struggling and
yet there is Hope! I would recommend it to others. My husband and I tried quite
a few different groups and you just have to decide which one is best for you
and then get involved. I promise, that if you are seeking and wanting to grow
in your faith, come, join a group and see what God will do in your life and the
others that are around you. It is exciting!!" —Lynda
"I have been saved for many years but had gotten away from church after my father's death. He was a pastor and we attended his church. My husband was saved last year. We went to services at WOC for several months before we got involved in small groups. I just told the group recently that we have grown more spiritually in our small group than in the rest of our lives. We have a great group of people to lift us up and keep us focused. They are all a blessing in our lives." —Cathy and Ronald
I cannot say enough good things about the small group ministry at WOC. Connecting with other Christians can be a challenge. The best way of doing that is to be involved in a small group. My husband and I began leading a small group in our home last Fall. We look forward to meeting with the people in our group every week. Not only do we feel like we are growing closer to the Lord, we are also forming wonderful friendships with everyone who comes to the group. It is so reassuring to hear that others struggle with some of the same things as we do. Sometimes you just need an encouraging word from someone who has been through a similar situation to help get you through! At other times, you may need your group to rally around you with prayer. In a small group, you can be yourself and it's okay! Once you find that group of people that you connect with and feel comfortable with, you can relax and begin to share your life. —Tiffany Jones, Home Group Leader
