WOC supports faith initiatives in many nations. Through the years, God has faithfully and strategically placed us into relationship with select pastors and organizations on several continents. As a result, we have been able to assist ministers in Africa, Central and South America and the Middle East with their endeavors to expand God's Kingdom and in the creation of even new opportunities to share the love of God with their people.
Our relationships with these precious workers did not begin casually. God created every partnership and we trust Him for their lives and for their work. In actuality, many risk their lives daily in the places they stand for the Lord. Therefore, it is with intentionality that World Outreach Church continually extends its global arms of evangelism toward the hearts of seekers of the truth of Scripture.
Being a member of the worldwide Body of Christ is a vivid reality at World Outreach, and reaching across the globe to all Christians is the focus of WOC's International Ministries. These programs are structured in a manner that anyone can actively serve our cross-cultural Christian global community:
Prayer Opportunities
Our first early morning prayer group meets each morning from 6:30 to 7:30 am. They faithfully pray God's heart for the nations and for Israel. Please join this group every morning you are able! A second morning prayer group meets Monday through Thursday from 8:00 to 9:00 am in Three Crosses Sanctuary and is open to all who would come.
Educational Opportunities
International speakers are often scheduled into our weekly activities from various ministries around the world. WOC advertises these special times as they occur through our weekend bulletin and Small Groups. Additionally, WOC's The Next Chapter Resource Center is a marvelous place to find or order volumes of interest concerning multiple facets of international ministry.
Short-Term Missionaries
WOC On the Ground – WOC has organized several short-term missions over the last years to Africa, South America and Central America. Two specific destinations have become important medical mission opportunities for our groups: The Peruvian Amazon River Region and El Quiché, Guatemala. All of our team applicants have a history of ministry experience at WOC and have been overseas at least once in their journey. This combination brings forth much good fruit year in the field after year as they come alongside their hosting organizations overseas. If you have been a part of the church for 6 months or more, and are interested in applying for a short-term missions opportunity, you can apply here.
Global Outreach to Long-Term Missionaries
World Outreach Church has been entrusted with many long-term relationships among key Christian organizations and full-time missionaries around the globe, many of whom place their lives in daily danger for the sake of the Gospel. We treasure these associations and endeavor to bless them continually with our friendship, prayers and financial support. We daily trust the Lord with their lives and their work, just as we do our own. We are making a difference, even to the ends of the earth!

World Outreach Church has been privileged to support John and Sharon Harvey and their work in Guatemala, ASELSI MINISTRIES, almost from its inception. The Harvey's, both called to the mission field in their youth, have been ministering to the Mayan Quiché Indians since 1998, just two years after the end of a bloody war that had killed tens of thousands and had ravaged an entire country the size of the state of Tennessee. John and Sharon have since then visited WOC many times. In 2003, they invited George and Betty Jackson to bring a ministry team to their remote mountainous compound in Guatemala. This would be the first of many WOC short-term missions endeavors.
ASELSI Ministries is primarily two-fold: instructive and medical-humanitarian. Their educational focal point is the programmed discipleship of community leaders, most of whom average a third grade level. In turn, these leaders are trained to disciple others in order to establish strong, passionate and thriving communities of believers. The spiritual challenge is enormous considering many of the local parishioners in this mountainous region still practice animal sacrifice on the steps of their churches. To date, over 750 pastors and leaders have been being spiritually equipped through ASELSI's various leadership 'extension' centers, which now extend into Ecuador.
The medical-humanitarian aid facet of ASELSI's work concentrate on a medical clinic and 'milk program' through the efforts of Father's Heart Clinic and Health Ministry. Sharon Harvey, as a longtime Registered Nurse, serves as Nursing Director and organizes not only the clinic but also the teams who minister the Gospel while mothers patiently wait to have their babies examined, treated and furnished which much needed milk. Malnourishment is a major problem in this impoverished part of the world. The clinic offers desperately needed physical and spiritual care, with over 10,000 consults in 2010 alone. The Milk Program touches hundreds of babies each month.
ASELSI Ministries
VisionOur vision is to teach and disciple pastors and leaders in a practical manner, giving understanding in bible, theology, and practical ministry, helping them to develop their character while enabling them to have ministerial experience. It is our great desire to provide them the tools necessary to extract bible truths for efficient service in their church and community fueled by Godly passion.
MissionOur mission is to equip and enable leaders in the church for ministry with the power of the Holy Spirit and an understanding of the Holy Scriptures, providing them the tools to be anointed and active servants for the body of Christ while helping and serving in their community. Furthermore, we look to give a vision to the people of God to serve and evangelize the lost through outreaches with teams that come from the United States together with the local churches.

The God we serve believes in growth, abundance and expansion and therefore leaves us with a message that is clear and unambiguous; He wants His Kingdom to grow in numbers and godly character. Allen Jackson, the Senior Pastor of World Outreach Church, has taken this mandate seriously and believes therefore that God's work should be characterized by growth!
His trust in God in this respect has been "proved" by the harvest of hundreds of people who have decided to become Christ followers in Murfreesboro Tennessee. Those of you who follow this website will have seen the wonderful pictures that were taken of some 400 men, women and children who were recently baptized. Those who serve in the Kingdom of God must own the mandate of growth and aspire to fulfill it. Paul saw himself as a traveling preacher with a debt to discharge to the world; he owed them the Gospel of Jesus. (Romans 1:14-15) It is a privilege to go out into the world with the story of Jesus!
Over the last two months Malcolm Hedding, an Associate Minister of World Outreach Church, has traveled through much of Europe, Scandinavia and the United Kingdom telling the story of Jesus. His journey took him to two conferences in England, two conferences in Norway, one conference in Germany and one conference in Finland. In between all of this he was briefly in Israel and preaching in numerous local churches in these regions. The message was always about believing God to expand and develop the Kingdom Of God. This is our day to shine and challenge the darkness around us!
From the Swabian mountains in Germany to the fishing village of Bodo in Norway, to the inner city of London and the One Way Mission conference in Finland Malcolm preached Christ crucified and encouraged God's people to have faith, joy and vision. We have something greater and more wonderful living in us than the darkness of this world and we must demonstrate it. Christ in us is the hope of glory! World Outreach Church has taken a God-given mandate, has worked it out in its local context, to the blessing of thousands of people, and is now being called by God to take its message of growth and hope to the world. Pray for us as we walk through many doors that are opening all over the world.

World Outreach Church was introduced in the mid-90's to Guatemala's ASESLI Ministries, pioneered by John & Sharon Harvey. At that time, the Harvey's were stepping out in faith, relocating their outreach from Guatemala City to the much more remote mountainous region of El Quiche. Their passion was to give the native Guatemalans greater opportunities to receive and understand the word of God, which included incorporating a much-needed educational system. A library became an integral need. Therefore, WOC also stepped out in faith to provide resources for this new venture.
Since that time, our relationship has flourished, as have both our ministries! Today, ASESLI reaches out through their Bible Extension Program, Leadership Institute, and Health Clinic, touching hundreds of lives each month from villages in Guatemala, Mexico, and other parts of Central America. WOC is thankful to stand with ASESLI today, having hosted numerous short-term mission trips to their Bible School and Medical Clinics.
This year, our 21-member team participated in several field clinics, treating a variety of illnesses as our pharmacy filled hundreds of prescriptions. Additionally, our construction team built kitchen ovens and rebuilt home roofing. Street ministry and home visits rounded out our mission with miracles each step of the way.
The team left Murfreesboro, determined to make a difference in the lives of those they had never met by being available to do whatever God called them to in Guatemala. This was resoundingly accomplished; however, as is so many times the case, the lives of the team were transformed as they learned the importance of simply being God's hands and feet. They let God love through them and He did the rest.
Join us as we pray for the sweet people of El Quiche, Guatemala and trust the Lord to accomplish amazing things in their lives!
A generation of orphans. Uganda, the "Pearl of Africa", landlocked in a sea of religious conflict.
Divine Grace Ministries seized the challenge, establishing a school and home for underprivileged and homeless Ugandan 'pearls'. Their prayer is to change the perspective of this generation and the ones to come. Where there was desolation, now there can be hope. Where orphaned, now adopted.
World Outreach Church has been privileged to stand along side Divine Grace Ministries for several years, supporting their efforts and lending our prayers for this generation of children to have every God-opportunity possible for a changed future – a changed Uganda.
For almost twenty years, World Outreach Church has been in relationship with Don & Karen Davis in their outreach to Haiti. The Davis' ministry, under the banner of World Outreach Ministries (no relation to WOC), of over 22 years has been a fruitful one on many levels, through years of untold challenge.
In this impoverished nation of nearly 10 million, the Davis family has reached out in humanitarian aid through distributing food and water to the poor, providing vital medical prescriptions, supporting children educationally, and continually delivering the most basic supplies for daily living and construction. They have also developed a program hosting various short-term mission teams and volunteer with Missionary Flights International and the US Embassy. Their Christmas Bags for Haiti Program is a tremendous blessing each year to hundreds of children who would possibly otherwise have no opportunity to understand the true Gift of Christmas.
Each month, WOC stands alongside the Davis family and the people of Haiti through our gifts and prayers. Haiti's struggle has become much more desperate in recent years. Therefore, the Davis' ministry is strategic and more vital than ever as they bring God's light and truth to those in great darkness and despair. We treasure this longstanding relationship and look forward to a partnership that is even more fruitful in the days ahead. Please pray for Don and Karen and World Outreach Ministries in their continued endeavors.
ASELSI's Father's Heart Clinic is strategically located in the most impoverished area of Guatemala, and has provided vital health care to the Quiche Mayan Indians for over 10 years. With a pressing patient load increasing on a weekly basis, the clinic has more than outgrown its present 1,200 square foot facility. In 2009, therefore, founders John and Sharon Harvey, along with their tireless staff, bravely broke ground for a 6,000 square foot, multi-purpose facility in the same area. This new clinic will enable the mission's personnel to provide more effective care to the thousands of patients they already see each year, with room to maintain the momentum of their amazing rate of growth.
Subsequently, World Outreach Church commissioned an 11-person construction team in August of 2009 to join the Harvey's and their staff for one week to help build walls on the freshly laid foundation of this new clinic. Our team of primarily professional construction engineers laid concrete block more quickly than it could be purchased and brought to the compound! By the time they departed Chichicastenango, the new Father's Heart Clinic was well underway.
Since that time, many short-term mission teams from all over the United States have come alongside ASELSI. Today, the Harvey's are excited to report that they are ready to install plumbing and electricity, flooring and roof, a bit of dry wall, windows, doors and stucco work. This will enable them to occupy and open their doors to the hundreds of patients who begin to line up at 3:00 AM each Clinic Morning - over 10,600 patients last year alone. These cold, tired families stand and wait patiently for treasured medical care and milk for their babies. The new clinic will be a bit of heaven for them and for the hardworking ASELSI staff.
WOC has already activated a 2011 mission team of medical and construction professionals to help ASELSI complete this work. While our medical teams will come alongside ASELSI's staff, hosting several clinics in the local mountain villages of El Quiche, our construction team will work on the Father's Heart Clinic. It is an amazing privilege and honor.

In January 2012, Malcolm Hedding, an Associate Pastor of World Outreach Church, travelled to Finland and Ireland to participate in two pastors' conferences. In Finland he was the keynote speaker at the annual winter conference of the Finnish Pentecostal Church. Some eight hundred leaders attended this conference in Seinijoki situated in the north west of the country.
Malcolm introduced his audience to World Outreach Church and addressed the gathering on the four models of the Church reflected in the pages of the book of Acts. He outlined their strengths and weaknesses and how they could prepare successfully for the future. The Conference organizers stated that it was the best conference they had attended in thirty-five years. It was indeed a very blessed and challenging time for all those who attended including the speakers.
In Ireland, at a very beautiful country hotel called Ballymascalon, Malcolm was once again the keynote speaker at a conference sponsored by pro-Israel groups including the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem. Here he spoke on the soon coming salvation of Israel, the soon coming great delusion, the soon coming of Jesus and the soon coming kingdom of God. Once again the conference expressed their appreciation to World Outreach Church for sending Malcolm and enquired if he would be willing again to come back in 2013 as their keynote speaker.
