Good News for All People

Good News for All People

Jesus' Birth and Death

Sermon Description

The Gospels are not the beginning of a “new faith” or a “new story”; they are the fulfillment of the story we have been following since Genesis.  At just the right time in the unfolding of the history of humanity, God sent His Son so that we could receive the right to become children of God.  The Gospel of Jesus Christ is Good News!

Jerusalem Awakening

Sermon Description

The city of Jerusalem has always had great significance in God’s eternal purposes and it is the city from which Jesus will reign over all the earth.  Following Jesus’ ascent to Heaven, it was the coming of the Holy Spirit that brought about the awakening in Jerusalem, directing the powerful ministry of the early Christ-followers.  When the Church is awakened to the significance of the Holy Spirit, the purposes of Almighty God will be accomplished among us in this day.

Gentiles Included

Sermon Description

The Jesus-story is not about a movement of perfect people. Though the Gospel of Christ was spread among the Jews in the beginning, God chose a vicious persecutor of Christ-followers, Saul of Tarsus, to take the message to the Gentiles. Then Peter, following the direction of the Holy Spirit, preached the good news to the household of a Roman centurion and witnessed the Holy Spirit descend on them as it had on the Jewish believers at Pentecost.

Riots & Revival

Sermon Description

We see in the book of Acts that persecution led to a disbursement of Christ-followers throughout the region, resulting in the Gospel’s being preached among the many communities of faith that make up most of the New Testament.  The price of the awakening was severe, but the supernatural involvement of God continued to strengthen the faithful.

Jesus' Return

Sermon Description

The Book of Revelation is a description of the season immediately preceding Jesus’ return to the earth, and while still with His disciples, Jesus spoke of signs that point to that season. The theme of Revelation is “overcoming.”
