Small Groups and Family Ministries are sponsoring a weekend event for engaged and married couples entitled "The Art of Marriage." This video event will be held in our Genesis Sancturary on Friday, April 12th from 6:30-9:30 pm and Saturday, April 13th from 7:30-2:00 pm. This event is designed to help you grow as a couple and strengthen the foundation of marriage. The cost for materials, snacks and a box lunch is $70.00 per couple.

WOC holds its community-wide Easter services at the Middle Tennessee State University campus. Each December, the malls are filled many rushing and tired Christmas shoppers, thankful to have found presents for their lists, but wishing for help to get them ready for the tree. Therefore, WOC is delighted to provide several hundred 'elves' to wrap freely their packages. Our local enclosed mall provides the space, which we rent, transforming it into a complete Free Christmas Gift Wrapping Center. During a four-week window, we merrily wrap thousands of mall-purchased gifts, singing all the way, and encouraging every shopper to have a blessed Christmas. It is our gift to the community.

Mark your calendar for the next WOC Men's Event, scheduled for Friday, September 14. Our special guest speaker is Angus Buchan. Originally a Zambian maize and cattle farmer of Scottish descent who started farming in Zambia, Buchan was forced to sell everything and move to Greytown, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa in 1978 due to political unrest in that country.
In 1980 he started the Shalom Ministries to preach in his local community. Over time he has become a full time evangelist while the farm is now being run mostly by both his sons.
In 1998 Angus wrote a book about his life, "Faith Like Potatoes," the book was turned into a film of the same title in 2006. Angus Buchan's "Ordinary People" is a 2012 semi-biographical film that tells the story of the growth of Buchan's ministry from the 1970s to the present, and that of three fictional characters whose lives are changed after attending one of his conferences.
Angus Buchan will join us for our weekend services on September 15/16. He will be speaking at the 5:00PM, 10:30AM and 6:00PM services.

School is just around the corner and we are preparing another fantastic new year for you and your kids in Children's Ministry at World Outreach Church. To help us encourage your child's walk with Jesus, we have recruited and trained over 700 volunteers. Here are a few reminders to help you kick off the year.
Promotion Weekend is August 11th and 12th. There will be Children's Ministry Greeters in place to help you find your way to your child's new classroom.
Doors will open thirty minutes prior to service so that you have plenty of time to find your new classroom and be in place before the service begins. Also, your exisiting security tags will help you speed through the check in process; you do not need new tag to get into your new classroom. If you do not have tags and would like them, stop by one of the three Children's Ministry Information Desks and we will take your picture to have them printed.
We thank you for your prayers and attendance during this exciting part of the year.
If you have never been water baptized, the next baptism service is scheduled for weekend worship services, July 28 & 29. Children (who have completed grades 2-6) and adults (completed grade 7 and older) may participate. The classes required for all baptismal candidates is Sunday, July 22 -- at 3:00 pm. Lance Lambert will be guest speaker at weekend services Saturday, July 14 at 5:00 pm and Sunday, July 15 at 10:30 am. Lambert is one of the most distinguished Bible scholars and speakers in Israel today and has a teaching ministry worldwide. He comes with a keen insight on Israel, intercession, spiritual warfare and the responsibility of the church towards the Jewish people. Lambert encourages with his sharp wit and gentlemanly ways to expand our vision. His inspired revelation of the end times inspires Christian to seek a closer walk with God. Born in 1931, Lance grew up in Richmond, Surrey and came to know the Lord at twelve years of age. He entered the school of African and Oriental studies at London University to prepare for work in China. He studied Classical Chinese, Mandarin, Oriental Philosophy and Far Eastern History, but the revolution closed the door to European missionaries and his entry into China.
In the early 1950's Lance served in the Royal Air Force in Egypt and later founded Halford House Christian Fellowship in Richmond, England.
Having discovered his Jewish ancestry Lance became an Israeli citizen in 1980 and now has his home next to the Old City of Jerusalem. His father and many members of his family died in the Holocaust.
Lance is noted for his eschatological views, which place him in the tradition of Watchman Nee and T. Austin-Sparks. He produces a widely appreciated quarterly audio recording called "The Middle East Update", which gives his unique perspective on current events in the Middle East, in the light of God's Word. He has written numerous books including "The Uniqueness of Israel" and is presenter of the video production, "Jerusalem, the Covenant City." Lance Lambert is an international speaker, Bible Scholar and author.

It will be a fun-filled evening that will include pre-game music by our very own World Outreach Worship team, a chance to participate in on-field promotions during the game, and kids can run the bases after the game. Dr. Samuel A. Thomas is guest speaker at the Sunday evening service on June 24. Dr. Thomas is known throughout India as a leading humanitarian. Following in the footsteps of his father Dr. M. A. Thomas - Founder of Hopegivers International - Dr. Samuel is a second generation visionary for the organization. He was imprisoned in 2006 and in hiding in 2007. Arrested because religious rebels want to stop Hopegivers from rescuing abandoned and at-risk children from the streets of India, Dr. Samuel chose jail over denying the Lord and his call to care for the fatherless.

WOC hosts Israel, The Church and The Nations with special guest speaker and author Eric Metaxas. He is the author of two New York Times bestsellers as well as writing for the New York Times, Washington Post and Atlantic Monthly. Metaxas was a writer and editor for Chuck Colson's Breakpoint, a nationally syndicated daily radio program. Special music guest Paul Wilbur, Integrity Music recording artist and the founder of Wilbur Ministries. Wilbur will participate in praise and worship at weekend worship services and perform in concert Sunday evening. Paul Wilbur will be joining us for weekend worship May 19th and 20th and will be performing in concert Sunday night at 6 pm with the choir and band. Paul Wilbur is an Integrity Music recording artist and the founder of Wilbur Ministries. In the fall of 1994, Paul and his wife, Luanne, announced their departure from local pastoral worship ministry to answer the call of God to the nations. Paul and his team travel throughout the United States and the world sharing the love of God through Yeshua (Jesus) the Messiah.

Preparation for Parenting: If you are an expectant parent or your child is less than five months old, this class is for you. You will learn how to manage your newborn's feeding, waketime, and sleeptime. This group will meet in the Prayer Center.
Preparation for the Toddler Years: If your baby is 5 -18 months old, this class is for you. Here you will learn how to manage your child's day, mealtime basics, and the preventive side of correction. This group will meet in room 2312.
The Toddlerhood Transition Years: If your child is 18-36 months old, this class is for you. Here you will learn about structure and routine, toddler conflict, and the purpose of obedience. This group will meet in room 2311.
Parenting the Middle Years: If your child is 8-12 years of age, this class is for you. Here you will learn how to create a family-dependent and not a peer-dependent child, how to lead by your relational influence and not by coercive authority and what discipline methods work and what methods do not work. This group will meet in room 2000.

WOC is privileged to welcome TRUTH the weekend of March 24-25. TRUTH was formed by John Roger Breland in June of 1971 and is celebrating their 40th anniversary with a new group and a tour that includes a number of churches and venues; they have partnered with the American Leprosy Missions to help children in the Democratic Republic of the Congo that suffer from this disease. TRUTH will be a part of all weekend services and will be performing in a special concert on Sun PM for a love offering.
